[origin: WO03013967A1] The invention relates to a container comprising an opening which is upwardly oriented and provided with a peripheral flange (14) on the edge thereof. Said flange (14) receives a lid for closing the container by means of an engagement, and is divided by a tool (20) in at least on area, forming two flange ends (68, 70). Said tool comprises a tongue (22) which is articulated on the container by means of a first hinge (24) and is arranged in such a way that a positioned lid can be partially lifted by outwardly pivoting the tongue (22) in the region of the tool, in order to simplify the opening of the lid. The tongue (22) is surrounded by a securing lever (23) which can be pivoted in relation to the tongue (22) and the two flange ends (68, 70). The securing lever (23) is fixed by means of second hinges (43, 44), on its two lateral edges facing the flange ends, to the wall of the container, and the second hinges (43, 44) are offset in relation to the first hinge (24), towards the bottom of the container.
