Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2828607A1] System for secure management of database comprises a server and stored database. A client connects to the database via a network. Intermediate between the client and the server is a physical secure medium, especially a smart card (4), with a processor for encryption and decryption of data passed between the client and the server. The smart card also has volatile memory for temporary storage of intermediate results and a non-volatile memory for storage of personalized user data. Independent claims are made for a security means or smart card for securing data exchanges between a client and a server and a method for secure management of data exchange between a client and a server.
