Abstract (en)
[origin: WO03012701A2] The invention relates to a method for paying for a service provided by means of a data network (20) on presentation of a transaction medium (2). The service is ordered by a user (1) by means of a user end system (10), from a service provider (40). Said service provider activates a processing centre (30) which enters into a data exchange with the transaction medium (2), in order to request the amount corresponding to the payment which is pre-defined for the provision of the service, said amount being in the form of defined data. The order process and the data exchange with the transaction medium (2) for the request for payment are associated by means of an identifier (KM) which is allocated to the transaction medium (2), said identifier being determined by the user end system (10) and being used to respectively secure the order process and the request for payment.
