Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03017706A1] The aim of the invention is to be able to change mode in an interruption-free manner in the field of "software-defined radio" (SDR) for SDR terminals, by means of predictive reconfiguration, in conditions relating to the downloading of configuration parameters or software. For certain areas, there are no usable modes available, thus it can first be established from which location a renewed reception of the radio connection is possible, and secondly, corresponding measures can be taken. Furthermore, in both cases, the choice of new mode can be made in such a way that it is optimum both in terms of the further travel route and in terms of a possible further reconfiguration necessary at a later time.
