Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1416148A2] The air intake tube (1) for an internal combustion motor, and especially its turbocharger, has a fitted absorption chamber linked to the flow (P) to reduce noise levels. The unit has a one-piece connector/damper (4) with a snap coupling (5), and an inlet end (6) pushed into the end (3) of the tube, so that the absorption chamber is between the inlet and the inner wall of the tube with the connector/damper secured at the tube. The inlet has two perforated sections (8,13).
