[origin: EP1416165A2] The pneumatic setting drive (1) has a cylindrical housing (2) with at least one drive piston (3,4) with axial movements, moved by a working pressure between an inner and an outer limit stop setting. A rotating drive shaft (5), projecting radially from the housing, is coupled to the pistons to be rotated by their axial movements. A pneumatic damper (6) acts on the axial movements of the drive pistons, to prevent damage in the event that there is a blockage in the movements of the system being adjusted.
