According to the invention, a lever gear mechanism (56) is provided in the gear train between the drive element and the adjusting element (38). The inventive drive (36) for furniture is thus simple and cost-effective to produce, in addition to having a robust construction. The inventive drive (36) for furniture is also suitable for applying intense forces.
