[origin: WO02071727A2] Physical extension of software protocol, especially useful for introducing or extending applications between mobile cellular telephone's SIM-connector and SIM-card as heretofore intended for connection with the connector, and the physical extension includes: first buffered connection to the data pad of the SIM-connector; second buffer connection to the data pad of the SIM-card; and CPU connected to both the buffers; wherein the CPU is firstly enabled with echo protocol emulation decision function logic for selectively choosing, and thereby executing, between at least three data copy operations selected from plurality of copy function commands related in part to either SIM-card or to SIM-connector; and wherein the CPU is secondly enabled with at least one real or virtual third party application. Also described is system (in compliance with the extension and the protocol) for introducing or extending applications between mobile cellular telephone's SIM connector and SIM card.
