[origin: EP1418127A1] The machine (5) includes a body (15) having a mechanism (24) for driving a band (17) carrying wrapping adhesive (18), and a pivoting arm (20) applying wrapping material on the objects located in a container whose sides project above the objects. The arm includes a device (21) for guiding the band along a trajectory having a reverse part (22) for separating the wrapping from the band. The guide device includes an upper rotating element (50) centered on the pivot axis (P) of the arm for directing the band along the arm. An Independent claim is included for a wrapping installation comprising at least one of the above wrapping machines and a conveyor assembly for conveying containers to be wrapped.
