[origin: WO03016190A1] The invention relates to a joint for two yarn ends, whereby the yarn ends are joined, facing each other, without diameter increase over a yarn length by means of at least one longitudinal tape. Said longitudinal tape comprises a joint means on the side thereof facing the yarn ends. The joint means permanently binds said yarn ends to the longitudinal tape over the corresponding yarn length by frictional engagement.
