Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03018736A1] The invention relates to a preformulated additive for a composition that is used to treat articles made from textile fibres in an aqueous or wet medium. The inventive additive comprises: a particulate solid organic polymer (P) which is dispersed in and/or encapsulated by a matrix (M); and a surfactant (S) at the matrix (M)/ polymer (P) interface. Said matrix (M) is soluble or dispersible in the aforementioned medium and the polymer (P) is insoluble and can be dispersed in said medium in the form of nanoparticles. The invention also relates to the use of said preformulated additive as a care product, in particular as an anti-crease agent, in detergent formulations, rinsing/softening formulations, drying additives and washing additives for articles made from textile fibres.
