[origin: EP1420137A2] Arrangement for fixing a hinge for a door, window, etc. on a frame (10) comprises units consisting of strip-like intermediate layers (30) separated by clamping surfaces (21, 1; 22, 1; 23, 25; 24, 26) provided with a surface relief which presses with the protrusions into the clamping surfaces. Preferred Features: The intermediate layers correspond in length and width with neighboring clamping surfaces. The intermediate layers are ribbed across the longitudinal direction of the strip. The intermediate layers are made from sheet metal.
