Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03020966A2] The invention relates to a surface for the immobilisation of one or several first nucleic acids as recognition elements ("Immobilisation Surface"), for the production of a recognition surface for the detection of one or several second nucleic acids in one or more samples which are brought into contact with the recognition surface. The first nucleic acid is applied to a PLL-g-PEG layer as surface for immobilisation, characterised in that the grafting ratio g, in other words the quotient of the number of lysine units and the number of polyethylene glycol side chains (PEG side chains) 7 to 13. The invention also relates to a method for the qualitative and/or quantitative detection of one or more second nucleic acids in one or more samples, characterised in that said samples and optionally further reagents are brought into contact with the above immobilisation surface, upon which one or several first nucleic acids are immobilised as recognition elements for specific binding/hybridisation with said second nucleic acids and changes as a result of the said binding/hybridisation of said second nucleic acid, or further, resulting from applied detection substances introduced for analyte detection are measured by optical or electronic signals.
