The bath comprises a bath body (3) having an outward-facing molded bath edge (4) adjoining an upward-facing collar (5). A support (6) with a bath edge cover (7) fixed on the collar has a lower edge (8) arranged a distance above the bath edge which forms with the bath edge a groove (9) opening toward the interior of the bath body. Preferred Features: The bath edge cover is made of plastic or metal profiles, wood profile strips, elastic molded bodies, or natural stone elements. The support has a housing for electrical installations and/or water installations. Functional elements of these installations are arranged on the lower edge of the support.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Sanitärwanne mit einem Wannenkörper (3), der einen nach außen umgeformten Wannenrand (4) aufweist. Erfindungsgemäß schließt der Wannenrand (4) umfangsseitig mit einem hochgezogenen Kragen (5) ab. Auf dem Kragen (5) ist ein Träger (6) mit einer Wannenrandabdeckung (7) befestigt. Der Träger (6) weist eine mit Abstand oberhalb des Wannenrandes (4) angeordnete Unterkante (8) auf, die mit dem Wannenrand (4) eine zum Innenraum des Wannenkörpers offene Nut (9) bildet. <IMAGE>
