[origin: EP1422180A1] The system to monitor the function of electromagnetic valves, at a pneumatic yarn splicer (1) for a cross wound bobbin winder, has a pressure sensor (12) to register a temporary pressure drop in the pressure lines (3,15) serving each electromagnetic valve (5,14). The pressure drop is converted into a proportional electrical signal (i) to be passed to a control unit (19,22). The signal is matched against a comparative value to determine the functioning of the electromagnetic valves, and the results are displayed (28).
