[origin: EP1422338A2] A papermaking assembly has a dewatering belt which passes through a cleaning station with an array of water jets. The jets are held together in a group which moves back and forth along a guide. Two or more of the jets describe an angle alpha with respect to each other. The jets impinge on the web surface at different angles of presentation. Water is pre-heated before delivery to the jets. The cleaning station is located within a spray booth or cabin with a supply of compressed air. The regular array of jets are arranged in lines which are transposed with respect to each other. One or more of the jets is a rotating unit. The array of jets is free to move over a width which is greater than that of the web. The jets are located within a compartment with a non-contact or low-contact seal.
