Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1422410A2] Process for operating a multi-cylinder IC engine comprises not allowing a lambda degree of effectiveness of the cylinders of the engine operating with a lean or stoichiometric air-fuel ratio to exceed a prescribed gradient during the transition from the normal operation to the heating region or from the heating region into the normal region. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Control device used in the above process; and (2) Computer program which can be loaded on a microprocessor.
