The moulded body (10) has a longitudinal axis (z) extending perpendicular to its base surface (14) and a mantle surface (12) between the base surface and a top surface (16), provided with a pair of grooves (18,20), parallel to and at equal spacings from the base surface, facilitating handling of the moulded body via a fork lift truck. An Independent claim for a device for manufacture of a moulded body for an arc oven is also included.

Ein Formkörper (10,110) aus einer Söderbergmasse für Lichtbogenöfen, weist eine Bodenfläche (14,114), eine in einem rechten Winkel zur Bodenfläche (14,114) stehenden Längsachse (z) und eine parallel zur Längsachse (z) vom Umfang der Bodenfläche (14,114) zum Umfang einer Deckfläche (16,116) verlaufenden Mantelfläche (12,112) auf. Zwei nutförmige Vertiefungen (18, 20; 118,120) mit je einer parallel und in gleichem Abstand (b, b') zu einer Lagerfläche (14,172) liegenden, gegen die Lagerfläche (14,172) gerichteten Nutfläche (22,24;130,132) von der Mantelfläche (12) eingeformt sind. <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
