Die Erfindung betrifft die Feinbearbeitung von Bleistiften; ihre Anwendung bietet sich besonders dann an, wenn Importhölzer durch einheimische Weichholzarten substituiert, ein nachhaltiger Glättungs- und Verdichtungseffekt erzielt und daraus folgend eine Reduktion der Endbehandlung der Stifte erfolgen soll. Hierfür wird ein Verfahren vorgesehen, bei dem Hochleistungs-Ultraschall in Form einer Grenzflächenreibung allseitig an die Oberfläche der Werkstücke einwirkt. Die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung umfaßt ein Ultraschallaggregat, bestehend aus einem Ultraschall-Generator (1) und eine Öffnungen, gestaltet als Durchführungen (5), aufweisende Sonotrode (2) sowie zugehöriger Steuereinheit, und eine Transporteinheit (3), die den Transport der Bleistifte zur Sonotrode (2), durch die Sonotrode (2) und von der Sonotrode (2) weg realisiert. <IMAGE>
