Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1424258A1] The apparatus has a sensor (5) to determine whether a chair (4) is occupied and to output sensor signals. A sensor (6) with a transmitter and a stationary receiver determine whether a safety bar of the chair is locked and outputs sensor signal. A control device (8) is disposed to receive the sensor signals and to output a corresponding control signal. The control causes a cableway system to temporarily shut down.
