[origin: WO03020422A1] The invention relates to novel double metal cyanide (DMC) catalysts for the production of polyetherpolyols through polyaddition of alkylene oxides to starter compounds, comprising active hydrogen atoms, whereby the catalyst comprises a) double metal cyanide compounds, b) organic complex ligands and c) cyclic polyols. Said catalysts have markedly increased activity in the production of polyetherpolyols.
