Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03018947A1] The invention relates to a side/bottom fitting for windows, in which a stay device (26), with a stay arm, is provided on an upper casement run (24) and an upper frame section (22). The side/bottom fitting has locking means (58, 60) between the stay device (26) and the upper casement run (24). One of the tipping gap locking elements (60) is in the form of a sliding gate and, with a tipping gap fixing section, permits the engagement of the tipping gap locking element (58). According to the invention, an improved left/right applicability for the stay device may be achieved, whereby a second curved follower element (74) is provided for the curved follower element (72) on the connecting rod (56), the sliding gate (62) comprises two slide sections (64, 66), which are independently connected to the stay arm (28), at least one first slide section (66) is detachably fixed to the stay arm (28) and the second slide section (64) faces a third slide section (70) with a longitudinal offset, which is arranged in a mirror symmetrical manner about the longitudinal mid axis (68), corresponding to the second slide section (64).
