Abstract (en)
The rotary sputterer, to spray workpieces e.g. vehicle bodywork parts with a paint containing effect particles, has electrostatic rotary sputterers with a rotary bell plate (22). The overflow surfaces (30) of the plate, towards the workpiece surface, form a constant angle with the rotary axis of 60degrees between the conventional distribution disks (40) and the spray edges (32). The bell plate rotates at a speed of 60-000-80000 rpm. The paint flows from the center opening (24) to the spray edges at a maximum rate of 250 ml/minute

Zum serienweisen Beschichten von Werkstücken wie beispielsweise Kraftfahrzeug-Karossen mit Effektpartikel enthaltendem Lackmaterial werden elektrostatische Rotationszerstäuber mit Glockentellern (22) verwendet, deren dem Werkstück zugewandte Überströmfläche zumindest im Bereich zwischen der üblichen Verteilerscheibe (40) und der Absprühkante (32) einen konstanten Winkel von beispielsweise ungefähr 60° mit der Rotationsachse bildet. <IMAGE>
