The suction/blower roller, for a papermaking or paper finishing machine, has a rotating mantle (7) with perforations (8) and at least one suction/blowing zone formed by an internal pressure chamber (9) open towards the mantle. The pressure chamber is sealed against the rotating mantle at least partially by a bristle seal.(3) in a mounting (2) with shape stability, pressed against the roller mantle by an inflatable tube (4). The ends (1) of the bristles are of a wear-resistant material, or have a wear-resistant coating.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Saug- oder Blaswalze mit einem rotierbaren, perforierten Walzenmantel (7) und zumindest einer Saug- oder Blaszone, wobei diese von einer zum Walzenmantel (7) hin offenen Druckkammer (9) im Inneren des Walzenmantels (7) gebildet wird, die zum Walzenmantel (7) hin über wenigstens ein Dichtelement abgedichtet ist. Dabei soll die Dichtwirkung dadurch verbessert und die Lärmemission dadurch vermindert werden, dass das Dichtelement zumindest teilweise als Bürstendichtung ausgeführt ist. <IMAGE>
