Abstract (en)
Process for tamping the ground and for sealing gaps in rock or buildings comprises injecting under pressure a material melting above about 100degreesC at a temperature at which it is a liquid into cold or pre-heated ground, rock or building material via one or more sealed bore holes. The material is a pure meltable substance, a mixture of meltable substances, or a mixture of meltable substances and substances not melting at the process temperature. Before the maximum process temperature is reached the meltable solid is liberated from oxygen and/or other damaging substances which attack or split the polymer molecules of the melt at the maximum process temperature. Or these substances are prevented from entering the melt. An Independent claim is also included for a sealing composition used in the above process and consisting of at least one meltable polymer.

Zur Bodenverfestigung oder zur Abdichtung von Spalten in Gestein oder Baumaterial wird von Sauerstoff befreites oder abgereichertes aufgeschmolzenes Polymer oder eine Mischung aus von Sauerstoff befreitem oder abgereichertem aufgeschmolzenen Polymer und darin verteiltem ungeschmolzenen Zuschlagstoff in den Boden oder in Spalten eingepreßt. Durch Befreien bzw. Abreichern der Schmelze von Sauerstoff ist es möglich, die Temperatur der Schmelze gegenüber der sonst üblichen einfachen Aufschmelzung unter Anwesenheit von Luft zu erhöhen, ohne daß schädliche Zersetzungsvorgänge im geschmolzenen Polymer auftreten.
