Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03028506A1] The invention relates to a shelf system for storing and archiving objects. The shelf system essentially consists of at least one shelf (1) having a rectangular cross-section with vertical longitudinal upright elements (2) arranged on the end points thereof. Horizontal cross beams (16,28) are disposed between two respective longitudinal upright elements (2) in order to fix bearing boards (5) respectively provided with a downward-oriented front face strip (15). The longitudinal upright elements (15) are provided with recesses (10) for receiving pairs of hooks (20,21,31), which are vertically and horizontally distanced and which are downward-oriented, on the cross elements (16,28). In order to guarantee high stability and load capacity of said bearing boards (5) with cross beams (16,28), the downward-oriented front face strip of the bearing board (5) can be clamped between the cross beam (16,28) and the supporting upright elements (2) of the shelf (1).
