Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03029151A1] A composition; preferably used as a coagulating and flocculating agent in the purification of waste water, consisting of an aqueous solution of polyaluminium chloride as the main constituent, also containing magnesium chloride and one or several organic, water-soluble polymer floculating agents as additional constituents. The organic flocculating agent (s) can be chosen from the group of polyamines, polydadmac, polyethyleniminacetates and polyethylenimines. The inventive composition has outstanding purifying qualities in stable operating conditions in a waste water purifying system and can be used in concentrations of 5 - 30 ml pro m<3> waste water, i.e. significantly lower than the required amounts of previously required precipitating agents based on iron compounds or aluminium sulfate.
