Abstract (en)
[origin: WO03027034A2] The invention relates to a glass (1) which is provided with a porous anti-reflection surface coating (2) based on SiO2 particles. The aim of the invention is to provide one such glass with especially good optical properties in terms of a high degree of light transmission in the entire solar spectrum, and with an especially high mechanical resistance, especially a high mechanical abrasion resistance. To this end, the antireflection surface coating (2) based on SiO2 particles comprises at least two particle fractions which differ from each other in their characteristic particle size. In order to produce a glass (1) which is coated in such a way, a glass substrate (4) is coated with a hybrid sol, the [SiOx(OH)y]n particles of said hybrid sol having a first fraction of particles of a first particle size and a second fraction of particles of a second particle size.
