The skateboard or roller board (1) has lower (22) and upper (24) internal reinforcement layers, with a core material (23) between. A damping strip (31) is positioned along at least one portion of the periphery (30) of the board, between the reinforcing layers. The damping strip has a thickness less than or equal to fifty percent of the maximum thickness of the core.
