[origin: EP1431207A1] A gusset bag comprises a pair of opposing flat surface portions (3), a pair of side surface portions (4) connected, at side edge portions thereof, to side edge portions of the flat surface portions, respectively, the side surface portions having gusset portions formed by inwardly folding the side surface portions, a bottom portion closing one end of the tubular body so as to provide a gusset bag body (2A), and a folding auxiliary portion formed to the bottom portion of the gusset bag body to a portion outside an outer end edge of the content accomodation portion (10) of the gusset bag body for assisting folding of the bottom portion along a folding line to thereby easily provide a flat bottom surface. <IMAGE>
