Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1431472A1] Plate-like sound-absorbing element (1) comprises a plate-like core material formed by a particle board (2) connected to a plate-like first layer (4) covering one of the two surfaces of the particle board and to a second layer (5) covering the other surface. The first and/or second layer is provided with holes (6). The particle board is provided with parallel through openings (3) having a width (W) that is greater than half the thickness (D) of the particle board. The holes have a depth that is great enough so that the holes lying in the region of the through openings open into these through openings. Preferred Features: The particle board is extruded and the through openings have a circular cross-section. At least the first layer consists of a wood veneer.
