Motor vehicle door lock comprises lock elements such as a latch and a detent pawl, and a lock mechanism. The door lock also comprises an adjusting element (4) having a first (5) and a second engaging arrangement (6). The two engaging arrangements are designed and arranged on the adjusting element so that after the locking process and after the unlocking process the second engaging arrangement lies in an engaging position and leaves the engaging position immediately after the opening process. An Independent claim is also included for an alternative motor vehicle door lock. Preferred Features: The second engaging arrangement has at least two, preferably two, engaging elements (7, 8). When the second engaging arrangement is in the engaging position, one of the engaging elements directly engages with the opening device.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Kraftfahrzeug-Türschloß mit Schließelementen wie Schloßfalle und Sperrklinke sowie mit einer Schloßmechanik, wobei die Schloßmechanik einen Außenbetätigungshebel (1) und ggf. einen Innenbetätigungshebel (2) aufweist, wobei die Schloßmechanik jedenfalls die Funktionseinheiten Zentralverriegelungseinrichtung und Öffnungshilfseinrichtung aufweist, wobei die Schloßmechanik einen Antrieb (3) aufweist, wobei der Antrieb (3) ein Stellelement (4) aufweist, wobei das Stellelement (4) eine erste Eingriffsanordnung (5) und eine zweite Eingriffsanordnung (6) aufweist, wobei durch eine Verstellung des Stellelements (4) die erste Eingriffsanordnung (5) in Eingriff mit der Zentralverriegelungseinrichtung bringbar ist und dadurch die Zentralverriegelungseinrichtung in den verriegelten Zustand bringbar ist - Verriegelungsvorgang - bzw. in den entriegelten Zustand bringbar ist - Entriegelungsvorgang -, wobei das Stellelement (4) nach dem Verriegelungsvorgang und nach dem Entriegelungsvorgang in unterschiedlichen Stellungen zu stehen kommt, wobei durch eine Verstellung des Stellelements (4) ferner die zweite Eingriffsanordnung (6) in Eingriff mit der Öffnungshilfseinrichtung bringbar ist und dadurch die Öffnungshilfseinrichtung betätigbar ist - Öffnungsvorgang - . Es wird vorgeschlagen, daß die beiden Eingriffsanordnungen (5, 6) derart ausgestaltet und am Stellelement (4) angeordnet sind, daß nach dem Verriegelungsvorgang und nach dem Entriegelungsvorgang die zweite Eingriffsanordnung (6) jeweils in einer Eingriffsstellung zu stehen kommt und aus der Eingriffsstellung heraus unmittelbar der Öffnungsvorgang durchführbar ist.
