Cord brake comprises a housing (10) containing a displaceably mounted braking roller and through which a pulling element (5) is pulled to operate a curtain. The braking roller clamps the pulling element in a first position and releases it in a second position. The braking roller is connected to a reversing device (26) having a guide curve (25) arranged in a housing wall (21) and a guide part interacting with the curve and displaceably mounted in a support (23). The guide curve is arranged so that on radial action of the pulling element on the braking roller the support does not load the wall and thus no friction is present between the support and the wall. An Independent claim is also included for a gathered curtain with the above cord brake. Preferred Features: Only one braking roller is provided.

Die Schnurbremse weist ein Gehäuse (10) auf, in dem wenigstens eine Bremsrolle (18) verschiebbar gelagert ist und durch das ein Zugorgan (5) zur Betätigung eines Behangs (4) hindurchgezogen ist. Die Bremsrolle (18) klemmt in einer ersten Position das Zugorgan (5) und gibt dieses in einer zweiten Position frei. Die Bremsrolle (18) ist mit einer Umsteuervorrichtung (26) verbunden, die eine in einer Wandung (21) des Gehäuses (10) angeordnete Führungskurve (25) sowie einen mit dieser zusammenwirkenden Führungsteil (24) aufweist. Der Führungsteil (24) ist in einem Träger (23) verschiebbar gelagert. Die Führungskurve (25) der Umstellvorrichtung (26) ist so angeordnet, dass der Träger (23) bei einer radialen Krafteinwirkung des Zugorgans (5) auf die Bremsrolle (18) die genannte Wandung (21) im Wesentlichen nicht belastet. Bei einer Umstellung ist damit zwischen dem Träger (23) und der genannten Wandung (21) im Wesentlichen keine Reibung vorhanden. Die Schnurbremse kann mit wenigen Einzelteilen hergestellt werden und ist dennoch funktionssicher und einfach bedienbar. <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
