[origin: WO03031073A1] The invention relates to a solid-bowl screw-type centrifuge, in which the liquid and/or solid matter discharge is/are configured as openings (27, 35) in a rotatable section of the solid-bowl screw-type centrifuge, said openings being covered by a housing (29) that only encloses sections of the bowl (1) of the solid-bowl screw-type centrifuge. To enable operation under high pressure, seals (31, 39) are provided between the housing(s) (29) and the bowl (1) and/or other rotatable elements of the solid-bowl screw-type centrifuge (bowl heads, hubs 18, 41).
