Abstract (en)

[origin: CA2459394A1] The invention concerns a rotary grinding tool, preferably for wooden profile d rods, having a single or multiple part base body, and equipped with at least a series of peripheral abrasive segments lined with an abrasive material. The invention aims at providing a tool of this type, such that the replacement o f the abrasive segments and, as the case may be, of the profiled base elements , can be carried out as fast and as simply as possible. Therefor, the inventio n is characterized in that the rotary grinding tool is equipped with an axiall y mobile locking unit (13) whereby at least the abrasive segments (21, 22) of a peripheral series can be fixed on the profiled base elements (18). In a preferred embodiment, the locking unit (13) is axially mobile relative to th e base body. The locking unit (13) has a locking cage (14). Profiled zones are provided in the lateral marginal regions of the abrasive segments (12), such that the abrasive segments (12) are assembled by positive connection in locking position, with the locking cage (14). The inventive rotary grinding tool is used in particular for grinding machines.
