Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03021459A1] A sequence of cards is stored (1302) that graphically represents available options within an information system. In addition, supplemental information related to at least one card might be obtained (1303). In response to a single user action (1304), the sequence of cards is successively displayed within a focus area of the user interface (1308). When a card having supplemental information is displayed, the supplemental information is also displayed in a context-sensitive area of the user interface. The context-sensitive area may be a quadrant formed by two displayed sequences of cards intersecting at the focus area. In response to a subsequent user action (1310), the successive display is discontinued (1312) to display a particular card representing a selected option.
