Abstract (en)
[origin: WO03030585A1] The invention relates to a device that is used to listen to voice and/or musical signals by means of cranial bone transmission. The inventive device consists of: a case (8, 15) comprising a forward front face which is sealed by a flexible membrane (11) and a rear front face (15a) which consists of a rigid, hermetic wall; a piezoelectric element (1) having suitable dimensions in order for same to be integrated in the case; and means (18) of supporting the piezoelectric element which are designed to connect the periphery of the latter to the case in a solid manner in such a way as to divide the internal volume of said case into two hermetic chambers. The first of said chambers, known as the front chamber (6), is filled with an incompressible gel or fluid and the second, rear chamber (7) comprises damping means (28) which are designed to compensate for the stresses exerted on the piezoelectric element (1) resulting from the forces exerted on the flexible membrane (11).
