[origin: EP1433537A1] A support device (1) incorporates a carrying frame (10) on which is fixed deformable retaining element(s) (20) to immobilize a hollow component for an external surface treatment. Each (20) comprises a static part (21) integral with (10) and a part (22) mobile between a repressed position where the component is inserted on (21) and (22) and a liberated position where the component is blocked by (20). A support device (1) incorporates a carrying frame (10) on which is fixed at least one deformable retaining element (20) destined to immobilize a hollow component for an external surface treatment. Each (20) comprises a static part (21) integral with (10) and a part (22) mounted elastically mobile between a repressed position in which the hollow component is able to be inserted at least partially on (21) and on (22) and a liberated position in which the hollow component is able to be blocked by (20) under the action of pressure exerted by (22) that is elastically applied by distancing it with respect to (21) that forms the thrust. An Independent claim is also included for a method of using this device for carrying a hollow component to be submitted to an external surface treatment.
