Abstract (en)

[origin: WO02090483A2] The invention provides an impregnated wipe suitable for the cleaning of hard surfaces, which wipe comprises an absorbent substrate having on one side a textured abrasive surface formed from nodules and/or striations of abrasive material applied thereon, the abrasive material having a hardness ranging from 40 to 100 Shore D units, and the substrate incorporating an aqueous hard surface cleaning composition comprising: (i) from 0.01 to 2% by weight, based on total weight of the composition, of surfactant, and(ii) from 0 to 15% by weight, based on total weight of the composition, of organic solvent having the general formula (I):R1-O-(EO)m-(PO)n-R2 (I) wherein R1 and R2 are independently C2-6 alkyl or hydrogen, but not both hydrogen, m and n are independently 0-5, EO represents an ethoxy group and PO represents a propoxy group. The wipe provides excellent cleaning and superior "end-results" (i.e. no significant residues left behind after use).
