[origin: DE10151647A1] The sliver drawing units, for a ring spinner, each has a long lower roller along the line of the spinner. The lower roller has at least two identical electromotors (12a-12d), linked to a common frequency converter (13). One drive is a servo motor (12a), with its integrated resolver (15) connected to the frequency converter. The drives can be synchronous motors, with a permanent excitation. The drive assembly can be located under the floor, below the drawing units.
