[origin: WO03033878A1] The invention concerns a closure seal for an underground cavity, consisting of a static abutment adjacent to the underground cavity and closing it, with a fill work formed with a cohesive material, adjacent to the static abutment and including a first water permeability kf(1) and an auxiliary abutment at least partly water permeable adjacent to the fill work. The invention also concerns a method for producing such a closure seal. The invention aims at homogenizing the water flow which the cohesive matter causes to well up. According to the invention, a least a layer of another material is placed inside the fill work made of cohesive material such that said layer is placed at an angle between 60 and 90 DEG relative to a water penetrating direction. The other material has a water permeability kf(2) which is higher by at least an order of magnitude than the water permeability kf(1).
