[origin: EP1437071A1] The water bed has a foam trough (1), with cheeks (3) around it formed by the side walls on the edges on the base (2). The base is of a harder foam material than the side walls. The interior is covered by a safety film forming an inner trough (4) with a hollow interior (8) to hold the water bags of the bed. A sliding clasp fastener (7) is at the connecting line (6) between the inner trough and an outer trough structure (5) which is around the outer sides of the walls and under the base.
