Abstract (en)
The cutter (1) consists of a frame with a cutting table (2) that has a lengthwise slot (3) for a blade (4) mounted on a carriage (5) guided over the slot. The carriage is moved by a pair of handles (6, 7) in a single inverted V-shaped configuration that allows the cutter to be used by a right- or left-handed person. The grip sections (6A, 7A) of the handles intersect a plane passing through the cutting blade and slot, and have their centres of gravity in line with the slot. The handle branches (6B, 7B) connecting the grip sections to the blade holder are inclined relative to the plane of the blade.

L'invention concerne un appareil (1) pour le tranchage de matériaux en plaque du type comprenant au moins un bâti (9) incorporant une table (2) de coupe délimitant une fente (3) longitudinale parcourue par une lame (4) de coupe montée sur un chariot (5) guidé au-dessus de la fente (3) et manoeuvré par une poignée (6, 7) de saisie. Cet appareil est caractérisé en ce que le chariot (5) comporte deux poignées (6, 7) dont les parties (6A, 7A) de saisie s'inscrivent dans un V de manière telle qu'elles puissent être utilisées alternativement par un gaucher ou un droitier, les parties (6A, 7A) de saisie de ces poignées coupant le plan passant par la lame (4) de coupe et la fente (3) de circulation de la lame (4) de coupe.
