Multimeric binding complex for labelling mammalian T cells according to their antigen receptor, having the formula (I), is claimed. (alpha -beta -P)n (I); alpha -beta -P = MHC peptide complex; n = >= 2; alpha = alpha -chain of a class I or class II MHC protein; beta = beta -chain of a MHC protein; and P = peptide antigen.
