Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1437474A2] The drive shaft (10) has a small pinion (9) and carries a pulse disk (11) rotating past a sensor (12) which can produce signals giving the position of the disk. The small pinion meshes with a large pinion (8) which carries crown-wheel teeth (8a). These teeth mesh with the teeth (1a) on the driving output pinion which lies at right-angles to the input pinion.
