Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1437690A1] The system has a digital tachograph (4) and a data download key (6), both with a controller unit providing data from a data storage device (16) to an interface (18) connected to a key interface (24). A data type pre-select unit (22) facilitates entry of data type pre-select key (8, 10, 12). The controller unit hosts a program to transfer data from the device (16) to a key data storage device based on the pre-selected data type. The interface is formed as a socket and a key interface (24) in the download key is formed as a plug or vice versa.
