[origin: WO03022722A1] The invention relates to a novel adhesive tape for flying reel change, comprising a functional line (6) embodied as a tear line that divides the adhesive tape into a first, narrower area (9) located between the front edge and the tear line and a second, wider area (8) located between the back edge and the tear line, wherein the first area (9) has a first adhesive layer strip extending parallel to the front and back edges on the top side only and the second area has a second adhesive layer strip extending parallel to the front and back edges on the top side only or a third and fourth adhesive layer strips extending parallel to the front and back edges. The invention also relates to a method for flying reel change, for example, in paper coating machine and/or a printing machine using the novel adhesive tape and to the utilization of said novel adhesive tape.
