[origin: FR2831222A1] The gear pump, e.g. for oil or fuel, consisting of a housing (2) with a cover (3) containing driving (4) and driven (5) gears with meshing teeth, has each end of the driven gear fitted with a concentric disc (8). The discs, which are the same diameter as the driven gear, are located in circular cavities (10) in the pump housing and cover, and are held under pressure by the pumped fluid fed through a groove or line.
