Abstract (en)
[origin: WO03038977A2] The invention relates to a constant-voltage supply circuit for consumers connected to at least one line, said circuit being suitable for using in a central unit having consumers which are connected by means of a bus system, current and/or voltage signals which are modulated to the constant voltage being transmitted on the lines of the bus system. In order to protect against overvoltage on the line(s), a controllable switching means is connected between a supply voltage source and the line, and a zener diode is connected between the line and the control input of said switching means. A voltage distributor is provided between the supply voltage source and a reference potential, said voltage distributor comprising a centre tap which is connected to the control input of the switching means. A first current source is connected in series between the centre tap and the supply voltage source, and a second current source is connected in series between the centre tap and the reference potential. Said current sources disconnect the control input from the supply voltage source and, in the event of overvoltages, limit the current flowing through the Z diode and the voltage distributor on the basis of the reference potential.
