[origin: WO03037439A1] The invention concerns a respirator whereof the lenses (5) can be covered with a light-absorbing shield (5). On the opposite sides of a lens are formed first (7) and second (8) snap-fit hooks, as well as a stop ridge (6), in a corner zone (3), which constitutes a guiding cavity (4). The outer periphery and the curvature of the lens and of the shield are identical. The shield (5), which is elastic in flexion, is mounted by being first fixed into the guiding cavity (4) and to the first snap-fit hook (7). Then, it is locked on the opposite side of the shield, after being subjected to an elastic flexion, beneath the second snap-fit hook (8). The shield system has a simple design and is inexpensive while having a reduced height. The system is easily mounted.
